The Bergen County Animal Shelter is located at 100 United Lane, Teterboro, NJ. The phone number is 201-229-4600. Hours for adoption are 1:00 to 5:00 seven days a week. Thursday we are open from 1:00 to 7:30.

Harley (ID#60496) is a handsome black lab mix who came in with Missy when their owner passed away. The person who brought them in told us Harley is housebroken and OK with other dogs, but not with cats. Harley is 7 years old, mellow and calm. He is unsure of handling, but did not show aggression, so if you go slowly, he should be OK. Harley likes to lay around and relax most of the time. He is easy to walk and is looking for a home where he can enjoy human company. Can that home be yours?

Missy (ID#60495) is a beautiful dalmation who came in with Harley when their owner passed away. The person who brought the dogs in told us Missy was housebroken and good with Harley, but may not be OK with other dogs. Missy is 10 years old and enjoys petting and attention. She's fine with handling and restraining and isn't possessive. Not very interested in playing, she's a calm senior who would love a family to share her golden years. How can you resist that great face?

Blaque/Mindy (ID#60020) is a white pit bull mix whose owner told us her mother did not want the dog any more. Blaque is seven years old. Her owner told us she is housebroken and OK with other dogs. Our volunteers have renamed her as Mindy. She seems very depressed at the shelter, still missing her owner. Well mannered and calm, she enjoys petting, but she still seems unsure of herself here, so you need to go slowly with her. Blaque/Mindy needs love, self-confidence and time. She will be spayed before leaving the shelter. From one of our volunteers: "Mindy does not like being in her kennel. She barks a lot but once she is taken outside, she is a different dog. She loves human attention and is easy to walk. With lots of love and attention, she should make a great family pet " She sure is a cute girl, right?

Jaguar (ID#60655) is a great looking black lab mix. The owner of this 7 year old lab told us Jaguar was housebroken and good with children and with other dogs. Friendly and social, Jaguar wags his tail at everyone and loves attention. We think he'd make a great family dog. Jaguar will be neutered before leaving the shelter. Jaguar has become one of the volunteer favorites. He is very easy to walk. Can you open your heart to Jaguar?

Disney (ID#60551) is a small, young female rabbit. She is an albino dwarf that is about 4 months old. She would love to be your pet.

Cottonball (ID#60995) is a domestic short hair, gray and white, Manx Mix cat who came to the shelter with 3 other cats when her owner lost the home. Cottonball is a very sweet 7 year old girl. She gets along great with other cats. She is a very small kitty. She was born with no tail. Cottonball is up to date with shots and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Cookie (ID#60838) is a domestic black and white cat. Cookie is a great kitty. She is loving, sweet and gets along well with the other shelter cats. Cookie is about 1 year old and very petite. She is up to date with shots and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Cookie is up to date with shots and has been altered. She is ready to go home with you.

Panda (ID#60575) is a domestic black and white cat. She is a large young cat. She likes to get her head rubbed and would love to be an only cat. Panda is up to date with shots and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She is about 4 years old. Panda is up to date with shots and has been spayed. She’s ready to go to her new home.
