Freckles (ID#57511) is a medium size, pointer, pit bull terrier mix. Freckles came to the shelter as a stray. Other than barking, she shows good behavior in her kennel. She is very friendly, happy to meet people, and likes to play. Freckles loves tennis balls and will chase and chew them, but she hasn't learned to bring them back. She also loves to toss around a large soft toy bone.
She entertains herself having fun with this toy. She is a little nervous about being handled by strangers, but she did not show any aggression during her evaluation. Training and lots of exercise should make her a great pet. Freckles will be spayed before leaving the shelter. I bet you can figure out why she was named Freckles! What a great face.
Garrett (ID#59434) is a domestic, short hair, black and white cat. He is 5 years old and was turned into the shelter when a new kitten was brought into the house. Garrett would do best as an indoor outdoor cat since his previous owners let him out. He is neutered and up to date with his shots. Garrett has lots of love to give. He needs to find a new family that will give him that love.
Nina (ID#56837) is looking for an extra special home. She has tested positive for FIV and needs to go to a home with other FIV positive cats or be the only cat. Nina is very loving and enjoys being around people. Nina has a unique smile due to a healed jaw that may have been fractured at one point in her life. She truly is a special cat. Nina is about 2 years old. Nina has been spayed and is up to date with her shots. Can you open your house to this special needs girl?
Rocky 2 (ID#59615) is a very handsome shepherd rottie mix. The people who turned in Rocky told us their son had left the dog with them eight months ago and they didn't want to keep him. Rocky is 8-10 years old and has always lived outside. It's really a shame, because Rocky craves human attention and is calm and well-mannered, except for pulling on a leash when he is excited. We think he'd make a great family dog with some training and attention. I love those ears, don’t you?

Blackie (ID#59597) is an awesome rottie. This 3 year old came to us because his owner didn't have enough time to care for him. Blackie lived outdoors when the weather was nice, so he needs work on housebreaking. He's friendly, happy and energetic and loves attention. A strong dog, he will pull on the leash but he is learning to walk better, pulling less. With training, Blackie should make a great pet in the right home. Blackie will be neutered before leaving the shelter. Can you give this handsome boy a forever home?
