CARJACKING

• LOOK around as you walk to your car

• LOOK at your car inside and out before you get in

• MAKE SURE that your car is in good repair and has plenty of gas

• Whenever possible, DON'T TRAVEL ALONE

• LOCK CAR and roll up windows whenever you are in your car

• DECIDE on a well-lit traveling route. Let someone know your plans and estimated arrival time

• DON'T OPEN your car door or window to strangers if you feel threatened

• PARK in safe, well-lit areas. Don't walk to dark or secluded parking areas alone

• If a carjacker demands your car keys - give them up

• MAKE NOTE of carjacker's description and get away route

• Know your tag number, and CALL POLICE IMMEDIATELY
